Brew Your Own Kombucha Masterpiece with these easy steps! Whether you’re a seasoned fermenter or a curious beginner, crafting your own kombucha at home is a fun and rewarding experience. Here’s how to get started:

  1. Infuse Your Tea:

    • For BOLD and BURNT blends, use boiling water and steep for 4-5 minutes.

    • For Silver Sun and BARE, use hot water (75-80°C) and steep for 3-4 minutes.
Remove the tea leaves, stir in sugar, and let it cool. Pro tip: Speed up cooling by infusing in 1 liter of hot water, then adding 3 liters of cold water after dissolving the sugar.

  2. Prepare Your Brew:
Pour the sweetened tea into a wide-mouth jar, add your starter liquid, and gently place in the SCOBY. Cover with a tea towel or cloth, secure with a rubber band, and let the magic begin!

  3. Ferment with Care:
Place the jar in a warm, ventilated spot away from direct sunlight. Let it ferment for 7-10 days, tasting after 5 days to check the flavor. For a tangier brew, let it sit for up to 20 days—just remember, the longer it ferments, the more vinegary it becomes.

  4. Enjoy or Customize:
Drink it as-is for a refreshing treat, or bottle it for a second fermentation to add some fizz! This is where the real fun begins—experiment with fruits, herbs, spices, or teas to create your own signature flavor combinations.

Elevate your kombucha game and unleash your creativity with every batch. Whether you’re sipping it straight or crafting unique flavors, homemade kombucha is a delicious way to enjoy the art of fermentation.
